Release The Transcripts
Amid national efforts to confront and prevent horrific exploitation by Asian grooming gangs, both historical and ongoing, crucial details about these devastating cases remain inaccessible to the victims, the public, and researchers alike creating a barrier to full public understanding and meaningful reform.
No victim should be failed by the systems designed to protect them, yet crucial information about the full extent of Asian grooming gang crimes and institutional failures remains locked behind prohibitive paywalls and administrative burdens.
We're working to obtain and publicise official court transcripts from as many of the landmark Asian grooming gang cases as possible so we better understand how these failures occurred and work to prevent history from repeating itself.
Latest Updates
Work to request transcriptions is underway, though this is a learning process for all as gathering the details, submitting the forms, and liaising with the courts are incredibly complex to navigate. We are also in conversation with various parties about how the transcriptions and their details can be best shared and distributed once available - in a way that is accessible but also legally sound, whilst ensuring consideration for the victims is put at the forefront.
As often as possible we'll be updating this site and our supporters via email on how the requests and project are going, as well as highlighting learnings about the inaccessibility of our legal system.
